SEXUAL DEVELOPMENT
From the moment each of us is born, and throughout life, we are all sexual beings. Being a sexual person does not necessarily include having sex. We begin learning about sexuality as infants and never stop learning. As our bodies, minds and social environments change during our lifetimes so do our feelings, beliefs, behaviors and sexual knowledge. SEXUAL VOCABULARY: Definitions of some terms used to discuss sexuality and sexual health.
OUR SEXUAL BODIES: Information about parts of the body related to sexuality and reproduction.
OUR SEXUAL JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE: Throughout life we continue to experience physical, emotional and social changes related to our sexuality.
GENDER AND ORIENTATION: Our sexuality includes our gender, both in terms of our physical anatomy and our feelings about what it means to be and act like a woman or man. Another important aspect of our sexuality is our sexual orientation, which refers to the gender of the people to whom we are attracted.
