Health Information
PREGNANCY

Pregnancy refers to the period between the time that the pre-embryo successfully attaches to the wall of the uterus until the time the fetus is ready to be born (usually about 40 weeks after the beginning of the woman’s last menstrual period.) Depending upon the circumstances, it can be a time of good health, great joy or contentment for the prospective parents, or one of poor health, sadness or fear. For some it is a dream come true, for others, the desire to become pregnant continues unfulfilled.
