- If your are uncircumcised, pay particular attention to pulling the foreskin back and washing all the surfaces as well as the underside of the foreskin.
- Washing before and after sex may reduce the risk of exchanging some infectiouse organisms with your partner.
- Urinating after having sexual intercourse may help flush out bacteria that may cause urethritis- inflammation of the urethra.

YEARLY PHYSICAL EXAMS*
- All men should have annual physical exams by their medical practitioner.
- There is no yearly exam for men that specifically focuses on the sexual system. It is important to discuss with your practitioner any sexual concerns you may have during your annual visit.
- Sexually active men who are not in monogamous relationships should ask to be screened for sexually transmitted infections at least once a year. Many of these infections have no symptoms for long periods of time and can be passed from one partner to another without anyone knowing it.
