IN A TYPICAL YEAR AT PLANNED PARENTHOOD OF NORTH TEXAS:

• 87,000 clients visit our 28 clinic locations
  
  
• 68,800 clients receive family planning counseling and services
  
  
• 62,000 women come to PPNT for annual Pap testing. 1,250 of these women are diagnosed with atypical cervical cells and receive colposcopies to detect cervical cancer. 300 women are treated for early stages of the disease and another 130 are referred to other providers
  
  
• PPNT offers health education about HIV and AIDS throughout North Texas and will provide HIV testing and counseling services to 5,600 at-risk women and men
  
  
• Over 11,000 referrals are made to clients seeking help for needed social services, adoption services, prenatal care and other medical services
  
  
• Sexuality education programs are offered to:

• teens and adults who attend performances by the TACT troupe, PPNT's long-standing teen drama group that provides peer-group sexuality education
  
  
• 24,000 callers who contact the FACTS OF LIFE LINE, a telephone information program that answers over 700 sexual health questions
  
  
• Churches, synagogues, high schools, middle schools, correctional facilities, shelters and treatment centers through PPNT community educators and outreach programs
