Summary:

This legislation would require emergency contraception to be available at all military health care treatment facilities.

PPNT Position:

Support—All women, including those serving in the military, deserve immediate access to emergency contraception to help prevent unintended pregnancies.  This is particularly critical for women serving in the military, given the recent increase of sexual offenses against them.  Many servicewomen are also serving where the only option for receiving contraceptives is on the military base.
