VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES

VOLUNTEERS = VICTORY!  HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE THROUGH ACTION 

Communicating with our legislators, the media, and community members is vital to improving access to important reproductive health care services and information for thousands of North Texas women and men.  By giving your time and your energy, you can help dramatically in securing and improving access to quality, affordable reproductive health care, birth control, and comprehensive sex education. 

We have projects to fit any schedule or interest!

You can help out in one or more of the following ways:

• Attend one of our monthly volunteer nights (contact us for more info or to RSVP) 

• Write a short letter to your representative about the need for family planning services 

• Send 10 friends an e-mail about PPNT's services 

• Call your representative's office about the need for Texas teens to have comprehensive, medically-accurate sex education

• Visit your local Planned Parenthood clinic and say thank you for the staff's commitment and hard work

• Pass out our EC Wallet Cards at public events around town to remind people to back up their birth control 

• Register to vote, or become a Deputy Registrar and help others to register to vote

• Contact PPNT to find out how to host a House Party with your friends 

• Hold a letter-to-the-editor writing party about the need for affordable birth control with PPNT and some friends 

• Wear a Planned Parenthood t-shirt or button 

• Organize a pro-choice organization in your neighborhood or on campus (PPNT can provide guides and materials to help get you started!)   

• Attend upcoming PPNT special events with a guest

• Attend PPNT Action Fund's Lobby Day in Austin next year
