EC WALLET CARDS

Emergency Contraception Education Campaign – Help Us Spread the Word!

What Can I Do To Improve Women's Access to emergency contraception (EC)?

PPNT needs your help to hand out our EC wallet cards.  They're great to hand out anywhere, anytime, and they are a great way to educate your friends about EC!  If you would like to become a part of this great project, please fill out the form below so we can send you an informational packet and your EC wallet cards.

Tell your Congressional representatives to support increased access to EC!  Call, write, or e-mail your elected representatives to urge them to support Texas women's access to birth control at pharmacies in-store without discrimination or delay.

Yes!  I can help spread the word about EC.

What is EC?

Emergency Contraception (EC) is a method of birth control that has been available, although widely unknown among the general public, for more than 40 years.  When taken up to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse, it can reduce the risk of unintended pregnancy 75-89%.  It is more effective the sooner after unprotected intercourse it is taken.  It gives women a crucial second-chance to prevent an unintended pregnancy.

While knowledge about EC is vital to helping women prevent an unintended pregnancy, many do not know it exists.  That is why it is important to spread the word in our region - if women know about EC, they are more likely to use it after unintended or unprotected sex.  EC is available at all 28 PPNT clinics throughout North Texas.
