Clinic Manager


Reports to: Area Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Clinic Operations and Fiscal Management

    1. Supervises the daily operations of assigned clinic, including the control of patient flow, management of patient schedules, and all record keeping duties (i.e. financial reports, pharmacy logs, inventory control, and statistical reports).
    2. Maintains an appropriate inventory of supplies.
    3. Coordinates the maintenance of physical facility with PPNT Facility Manager.
    4. Prepares clinic financial and statistical reports.
    5. Meets monthly patient projections.
    6. Meets monthly revenue projections.
    7. Ensures that bank deposits are correct, encoded, and deposited into the clinic account on a daily basis.  Travels to make bank deposits as necessary.
    8. Maintains an adequate supply of educational materials for clinic staff use and patient distribution.
    9. Serves as a PPNT representative to neighborhood civic and social service organizations.
    10. Markets clinic services throughout the community.
    11. Attends all staff meetings on a regular basis.

    Personnel Management

    1. Assists in the recruitment and screening of all volunteers and Family Planning Assistants.
    2. Provides periodic evaluations of volunteers and Family Planning Assistants.
    3. Responsible for the clinic orientation, training and ongoing supervision of volunteers, Family Planning Assistants, and other clinic staff.
    4. Conducts clinic staff meetings and documents minutes.
    5. Promotes a spirit of teamwork within the work group.
    6. Enforces “Customer Service Rules” among staff.
    7. Communicates in-service staff training needs to Director of Clinic Operations in order to ensure staff skill maintenance and development.

    Medical Services

    1. Provides direct patient care and oversees direct care given by clinic staff.
    2. Performs moderate complexity lab testing, if applicable, in clinic site.  Oversees proficiency testing as required by CLIA if applicable.
    3. Functions as patient advocate by providing assistance to patients on an individual basis in order to ensure patient satisfaction.
    4. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

    • A strong commitment to family planning service provision and reproductive freedom.
    • Any combination of education and work experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
    • One-year prior work experience as a health service provider or one-year management experience.
    • Demonstrates acceptable verbal and written skills.
    • Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with co-workers and the public.
    • Demonstrates leadership skills.
    • Physical demands:  On feet most of the day.  Must be able to lift twenty pounds.
    • Drives own reliable transportation; must have current Texas automobile insurance, valid Texas driver’s license, and must travel to other sites as needed.
